I have been working as a professional artist for over 10 years, specializing in traditional and modern blacksmithing techniques. My work incorporates ferous and non'ferous metals which are molded using the hammer and anvil like our forefathers did for hundreds of years. My shop is located in the heart of Huntsville, AL located on the Historic Campus of Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment.
My blacksmithing and metal work is influenced by the past with an eye towards functionality, as well as the emotions and experiences that we all share. I strive to create pieces that are both visually stunning and functional for everyday use.
We begin each piece with a vision in mind, but allow the materials and instincts to guide us as we use traditional and modern blacksmithing techniques.
I believe that the process of creating art should be just as fulfilling as the finished piece. I share this ethos with my students as they work with me to create their own forged work.
